So Weird!

It's so strange to me that I would lose more weight by NOT working out than by working out and yet, it's the truth. I haven't kept up my nightly 4 mile power walking routine the last couple of weeks and yet I still managed to lose pounds and inches. Somebody please explain this!

Actually, on second thought - don't. I like living in my little bubble. I'm sure the truth isn't pretty. It's probably something like - all of your muscle is turning to fat and fat weighs less than muscle so you're actually becoming a mushy mess. (Sigh). Who cares. I'm down pounds and inches. Hooray for me!

I am now currently:

143 pounds.
Arms: 10"
Hips: 39"
Waist: 31"
Thighs: 21"

When I look back at where I was at the beginning of this journey, it's a pretty big difference. My stats from the very beginning are:

165 pounds
Arms: 11.5"
Hips: 44"
Waist: 42"
Thighs: 25"

BIG difference! And it shows! And I feel it!

Still...there's a long way to go. I intend to lose 20 more pounds. Wish me luck.

Another Update - So Exciting!

OK, confession time:

I could totally be losing weight faster and having inches fall off faster if I worked at it harder, but (here come the excuses) I've had sick kids for like three weeks now and my husband is out of commission with his arm and I'm exhausted and I just plain don't care right now. I'm happy with where I'm at for now. I mean, I'm still on the pills, still walking (sometimes), still doing jumping jacks and sit ups (when I feel like it, which is pretty much never the last few weeks), so I still intend to lose at least another 20 pounds and it's happening slowly, but surely, and I'm good with that for now. It's been three weeks and my stats aren't THAT exciting, but I'm still losing weight and inches so....good enough!

Three weeks ago:

147 pounds
10.5" arms
32" waist
40" hips
22" thighs

Today:

145 pounds
10.5" arms (I don't do arm exercises. I should, but right now I don't care to)
31.5" waist
39.5" hips
21.5" thighs

So, there you have it. Maybe I'll get motivated in another week or so to work out harder and then I can be getting these results in one week instead of three. We'll see...

New Thighs - Down A Size

I'm probably posting way too soon because I don't have SIGNIFICANT results right now. Still steadily losing weight and toning up with my power walks in my Skechers. Last night I walked for 1 1/2 hours in the crisp evening air. It was exhilarating. A few hours later, my friend Jenn called me up and I took ANOTHER walk. My buns were achin', but I woke up this morning a couple pounds lighter and feeling fantastico!

Thighs from 1 1/2 weeks ago.

Thighs today. The difference is subtle, but can you see it? It's happening! I owe it to my Japanese slimming pills that help me keep my appetite under maximum control, my Skechers, my husband who bought me the Skechers and will watch the kids ANY TIME so I can go walking, AND lent me his Zune with like 50 million tunes so I could have some extra UMPH in my walk, and my friend, Jenn, who keeps me running alongside her, panting for breath, trying to keep up.

An Update

Once again, I have cheated a little. I caught the flu. Yes, it's true - I did it on purpose just to lose weight faster. I love nothing more than record-breaking headaches and fevers with chills. Oh, and also tasting my food twice - once going down and again coming back up. YUMMY!

Now, on a serious note. I have continued working out and drinking lots of water and watching what I eat, but honestly, not with the help of the Asian slimming pills. I simply forgot to take them for a few days and I found that, amazingly, I stuck to my regular routine of drinking lots of water and hardly eating and exercising. I didn't have as much energy, but it looks like I'm officially forming some habits that will stay for life. YAY!

I do have new stats for ya'. I'll have to include another picture, but not until I'm officially over this horrid flu.

Last time I posted I was:

151 lbs.
Arms: 11"
Waist: 33.5"
Hips: 41"
Thighs: 22.5"

This morning my stats were:

147 lbs. (this might go up a bit once I start feeling well enough to keep food down - before the flu I was 149, but I like 147 better, so I'm posting it!)
Arms: 10.5"
Waist: 32"
Hips: 40"
Thighs: 22"

My secret weapon: strapping my 18-pound son to me, pushing my 36 lb. and 27 lb. daughters in a double stroller and going on a 1 1/2 hour walk! It's killer, but my buns and thighs are shaping up nicely and I'm losing weight and feeling great!

Picture Proof

OK, so I have been on these miracle pills now for nearly three weeks and I have decided to show you up close and personal pics of my thighs, and mid-section. I now wish I had before pics so you could see the drastic difference, but inches are gone and I'm finally starting to see some shape again! Hooray!

Now, for the fun part - let's dissect.

As you can see here, the mid section is shrinking, however there is still a bit of bulge. The sit-ups are firming that up nicely, but I'm thinking another three weeks of intense workouts will be required to get that a little better under control.

And here's a side view where the stomach is shown to actually dip IN beneath the chest area rather than bulging out just as far so as to create the appearance that I am boob-less when, in fact, I am not. Again, you can see that the spare tire, though significantly deflated, is still very much present.

And finally, the thighs. Though they do still touch when I stand feet together, they no longer rub when I walk and that is just glorious! I have lost 2.5 inches off each of those puppies. It's called jumping jacks and power walking.

Latest Results

I see that the last time I posted results was over a month ago - December 18th, to be exact. Well, over the holidays, I pretty much gave in and ate everything in sight and gained my weight back.

BUT, on these new pills and with my new exercise regimen of sit ups and jumping jacks and power walking, I have some very exciting results.

Here are my last posted stats from about six weeks ago:

Weight: 152 lbs.
Arms: 11"
Waist: 34.5"
Hips: 41.5"
Thighs: 23"

Over the holidays, I got back up to 162 and became extremely depressed.

Well, I just went into the bathroom and weighed myself and took my measurements and here are my latest results:

Weight: 151 lbs.
Arms: 11"
Waist 33.5"
Hips: 41"
Thighs: 22.5"

VERY EXCITING! I'm getting there! And I'm doing it the healthy way! I'm making lifestyle changes that will enable me to get this weight off and keep it off!

So, I MIGHT Be Cheating, But Just A Little.

Hello. Hello. Yes, I've been away for a while - AGAIN. But I'm back - AGAIN. And this time I have some very happy news.

I have discovered a miracle pill. I know, I know - where have you heard THAT before, right?

BUT, I can honestly say, as one of those people who buys every stinkin' new diet pill or exercise contraption the television or local drug store has to sell, I have finally found something that actually works this time. What's funny is - it's totally natural, unlike the synthetic pills the stores sell, and it's not approved by our government, unlike the synthetic pills the stores sell.

Here's what I've experienced with FDA-approved diet pills:

Shakes * Anxiety * Light headedness * Sweating * Rapid heart rate * Shortness of breath

OR

They just plain don't do anything and I'm starving all day and eat more than ever.

Then one day I crossed paths with someone I hadn't seen in about three months and she was SKIN-NY! And I was like, "OH MY GOSH! WHAT have you DONE?! I MUST know your secret!"

That's when I was informed about a special pill from Asia. I knew nothing about it. I had seen all the evidence I needed - someone who lost a significant amount of weight in a short period of time.

So I ordered two bottles.

These are called "Slimming Pills EXTRA STRENGTH" and here's what they do:

1. Make you crazy thirsty. I mean, you will crave water like you've never craved it before. Ever been out in the heat for a while and you suddenly feel like you just need to down a huge glass of ice water? That's how I feel pretty much all day long, so I drink and drink and drink water all day. I tried sipping a bit of soda once - it did not even come CLOSE to quenching my thirst. In fact, it made me more thirsty.

2. It almost completely knocks out my appetite, so instead of feeling like I just want to eat all day long, I'm satisfied on very little. I typically drink a Slim-Fast shake for breakfast or have a small bowl of oatmeal and I generally don't feel hungry again until 2:00 PM. Even then, it's not a starving hunger that I feel. I'm also satisfied on very little.

For example, here's what I ate today:

8:00 AM: Oatmeal
11:00 AM: Small handful of animal crackers
2:00 PM: Slim-Fast shake
6:00 PM: Half a sandwich (I couldn't eat the whole thing, I felt stuffed)

Now, on top of this, I also have a lot more energy than I used to and there's no crash and burn at any point like energy drinks and energy pills have.

I do exercise. I either power walk for an hour or I do jumping jacks and sit ups throughout the day in groups of 100.

For example, I'll type a little and then do 100 jumping jacks and then fold some laundry and then do 100 sit ups and then type a little and do 100 jumping jacks and then make lunch for the kids and do 100 sit ups, etc., etc. I shoot for 500 of each per day, but usually only make it to 300 of each because my kids are so demanding. However, this has also helped me build some nice muscle and my stomach is getting nice and toned and I have the energy to do this on what little food I'm eating because of these pills.

I've been on these pills now for 2 1/2 weeks and have lost 10 pounds and I feel like I could stay on these forever. I'm so happy with my new lifestyle and the way I'm eating. I've tried so many times in my life to eat healthy and I'm capable, but the portion sizes and frequency of my eating is what I've had such a hard time controlling. These pills help me stay on top of my game.

So, there you go - my secret! I need to take another picture and post it. I will get one done this weekend and have a new post for Monday.
